You blink but that didn’t help, and you are pretty sure that while you blinked the creature had grown. Was that possible? You are sure that it is bigger now than it was just a second ago and it, in fact, looked bigger than the left-over marble fragments. The creature wobbled around the table on four legs. The feet were claw-free and you wonder how the creature would steady himself on the slippery table.
As you watch, the creature slips to the side and falls. As it tries to get up you notice that it has a small row of shiny teeth. They didn’t look sharp, but you never knew for sure and you weren’t about to stick your finger in its mouth to find out.
You rub your eyes, sure they are just playing tricks on you. When you look back, you are positive that the creature is rapidly growing right in front of you. Who added the miracle grow? Within a few minutes, it was about the size of a large rat. Not only had it grown but there were now two horns atop its head. You are pretty sure those weren’t there a minute ago. A thin layer of fur had sprouted around its head like a fuzzy blanket. You are reminded of one of those dogs that after getting wet shakes off and its hair puffs out instantly!
You wait for it to move around, but nothing happens. Just before you are about to reach out and touch the creature to check on it, you hear a POP! The creature begins to disintegrate before your eyes into a puff of blue and green smoke. You wave away the smoke to find there is nothing left behind of the dragon other than a charred outline on your floor. No bones- no body- no dragon. How weird. What had happened to the dragon’s body? Where had it gone?
