Through out the last few years, my family has enjoyed the adventures of our elf, Jingle Bells! I wanted to capture a few of his antics to share with you. Jingle Bells joined our family and soon started reeking havoc all over our house! He even came with a suitcase of clothes. Jingle Bells seems to be attracted to shiny objects- whether they be bath beads or lights on the Christmas tree. He also loves to find nooks and crannies to hide or a place to just hang out! This year, Jingle Bells even tried to disguise himself by sneaking into the play mustaches! We weren't fooled though! Our elf also loves to play with toys and is always up for building a snowman (even when there isn't any snow outside)! Our elf will always find a way to entertain us! I would love to hear what kind of trouble your elf has gotten into this year! What are you favorite elf antics? Jingle Bells is always looking for interesting ways to get into trouble! Thank you for reading, Happy Holidays!

This is the best thing in the world when in comes to managing behavior around the holidays! Even when kids don't believe, you can still have a blast doing it. I use the elf as both a behavior management system and teaching tool. The elf that visits my classroom each year will do the craziest things, to include leaving notes when the kids are out of the room. She's also a little troublemaker, because let's face it, she's only let out of the North Pole once a year! I have found and used tons of ideas off of Pinterest over the years but I wanted to add a few of my own as well. Each year, my elf tries to help us out with different things. My favorite was when she was swinging on the Holiday Ornaments and halfway through the math lesson she "fell" over and started swinging by her feet. Now to a classroom of seven-year-olds, no matter whether they believed or not, they all freaked out a little bit. Cries of "She's moving" and "The Elf is real" filled the classroom. Needless to say, we were a little off task for that lesson, but for the rest of the day the kids really were fabulous. Each one tried to behave in ways they normally didn't. My second favorite memory of the elf is when she placed herself on top of our intercom box. During the announcements she promptly bounced herself right off the box and nose dived onto the floor! At the time, the class I had was really sweet and didn't really need to extra behavior incentive, but it was all in good fun. One of the sweetest kids in the class ran over, grabbed the elf, and gave it a huge hug telling her it would all be okay. Now, if you've every had anything to do with the Elf on the Shelf, rule number one is do NOT touch the elf of they lose their magic. Luckily, this was in the morning, and I could recover. The elf wrote the class a cute note explaining that Santa decided to give them one more chance, since they were being helpful like a good friend should be. The rest of the week was great, and the Elf learned to secure herself where ever she landed. Naughty Elf, getting into the candy dish! Those are of the children. Are those wrappers stuck down in the printer?!? I'd love to see other pictures of your Elf's misbehavior! Please feel free to leave me comments or pictures below! Thanks for reading.

I am an inspired soul who loves to write and take photographs. I read and write constantly and have been inspired by many people throughout my life. I grew up reading everything I could get my hands on but my favorites were always R.L. Stine and L.J. Smith (prior to the Vampire Diaries). I have composed many things through the past several years and would like to use this blog as a way to share some of them with you (both new and old writings). I would love feedback both positive and negative to help me improve my writing. Thank you for following this blog. Archives
