Have you been waiting to hear those three magical words that seem to break through barriers, open futures, and explode hearts? Do you wonder if there are deeper feelings at play in your relationship or if you are just reading into things too much. Here are few signs that there might be more to your relationship. Deeper feelings sometimes bloom long before those three magic words, I love you, appear in a conversation. 1. They take every chance they can get to touch you or make contact. A small brush of fingers against your back or pushing your hair away from your face are sure signs that they want to touch you. This non-sexual touching could be signs of deeper feelings stirring up. 2. Another sign of deeper feelings is having a base friendship. You are always the first person they tell all their "T" or gossip (good and bad). Being the person they run to no matter what is a heady experience. A decent relationship could easily bloom out of the roots of a deep friendship. Do they stay curious and in the know about your changing feelings and likes? Keeping current with what is on your mind, asking questions, engaging in conversation are all ways he/she is trying to show you that they care. That you are important. 3. They are never far from you. Have you noticed that they always seem to be within contact range? Whether cell phone or in person, being easily accessible could be a sign of something more. Relationship that thrive on connection, will easily bloom and thrive when you are close at hand. 4. What's next? Do they always seem to remember all the important dates and details? If you are important enough for them to remember birthdays or family events, there might be more on their mind than friendship. This might also include important information about you that you mentioned randomly in that one conversation. Do they remember what you like in musically choice, drinks, or even what your favorite color is? 5. If they take the time to listen, they might also be a shoulder to cry on or a sounding board that will listen. Actively listening to what you have to say, especially during the rough patches, shows they will be supportive. Having a strong, supportive platform at the start of a relationship could create a foundation for a strong, supportive relationship that will last. Does he/she empathize with your problems or moods? Again, if they are taking the time to communicate and listen, there might be deeper feelings at play. 6. Although with listen, they should be supportive of your successes! Are they one of your biggest cheerleaders? Do they lift you up when you're successful as much as when you are failing? Building a deeper relationship should include times when you are successful and are celebrated for that success. Life needs a balance between lows and highs. A fundamental building block of a relationship should be this support at all levels of emotions. 7. Wait, they didn't run away in terror when you brought up the idea of a future? Some deeper feelings may scare him/her away, where as in other people they will jump to show you they are committed to a future with you in it (whatever relationship capacity that may be). Fear of the future shows a lack of commitment. 8. Do you ever get random notes that seem to have no relevance to holidays or special occasions? Even a sweet text message wishing you a great day or dropping a note to say something like "you were on my mind"... these may be signs that he/she wants to tell you there is something deeper. Somethings the first signs of a relationship growing emotionally deeper are sweet notes. 9. There are other ways to say "I love you" without using words. Remember that a lot of the time, actions really do speak louder than words. He/she may show you how they feel, but not, for one reason or another, be able to speak those three tiny words that most people crave to hear. Does he do things around the house? 10. Does he/she give in to your opinions or ideas, even when they want to do the opposite? Compromising is key to finding a balanced relationship. Be on the look out for ways he/she puts you first. Do they offer to do things they know you will like? Maybe it was that movie that just came out, even though they wanted to see the one that was just next door. Little gestures, such as letting you pick the restaurant, might be signs that he/she cares. This list is definitely not the only ways that someone in your life may shows you they love you without saying "I love you" out loud. So, as I was randomly clicking through the internet I came across an interesting article on surprising facts about sperm. Not a topic you see everyday, it got me thinking what kind of surprising things could one learn about sperm? For instance did you know that every time a man gets off, he produces around 200 million sperm cells! Just think about it for a minute! So while you're trying to get pregnant, your man has just shared 200 million gifts with you! Don't say he never gave you anything. After reading that first little tidbit, I was intrigued and had to keep reading. Did you know that sperm respond to diet? I guess this makes sense as the rest of your body also reacts to diet. Science says that a fatty acid, Docosahexnoic Acid (DHA), is critical in the formation of sperm. So men, if you want to have supercharged sperm, eat a great diet, including fish. As you get older, you should strive for an antioxidant-rich diet and maybe a multivitamin. Also including foods that are high in Vitamin-C can help reduce DNA damage to sperm. Women tend to be attracted to men with naturally deep voices, but some researchers say that men with lower voices have lower sperm concentration than men with higher voices. A high enough level of testosterone can actually impede sperm production. Still reading, awesome! Let's see if we can interest you in a few more facts. Did you know that non-human sperm from the animal kingdom gives a whole new meaning to odd? I have learned (and am now sharing) that the diving beetle sperm will often group up in clusters or chains of hundreds or thousands! Check out the first picture above, it's just weird!
The discovery of sperm didn't happen until 1677, when a Dutch microscope-maker, Antony Van Leeuwenhoek, decided that he wanted to see what his sperm looked like under a microscope, because that's not weird or anything. And just in case you're wondering, he was quick to clarify that his sample was NOT from masturbation, but left over from proper relations. Van Leeuwenhoek incorrectly theorized about how these newly discovered cells worked to fertilize eggs. The process of fertilization wasn't discovered until much later. It wasn't proven until 1879. Here's a fact for all the women out there. Sperm may be strong and fast, but when it comes to breaking through the egg, they are given extra help by the female hormones. The woman actually tells the sperm to wiggle their tails faster and more frantically. That's right, not only can we turn on our men, but we also turn on their sperm! I see you found this topic as interesting as I did! Let's kick it up- did you know that men need to regularly climax in order to keep their sperm healthy? If you want to keep your sperm healthy guys, you need to let them free! Men who get off 4 or more times per month, usually have healthier sperm. For my last sperm related fact, and there are tons of facts out there, sperm like it cool. The testicles are usually about 7 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the rest of the body. That means that the testicles are like a male's very own refrigerator for their sperm. I also read that in some places, men will heat their testicles about 108 degrees Fahrenheit to sterilize themselves. It sounds awful, but I guess if you're in need of permeant male contraception. Yikes! Looking for something a little different to spice up your sexual routine. Keeping things interesting can help extend the relationship of your sex life. How many sex positions can you actually name off the top of your head? If you can come up with more than five, you're off to a good start. Your list probably includes missionary, cowgirl, spooning, and doggy style. Of course, there's always the "you know, that thing we do when we…" Never fear if you can't name the style, I'm sure you'll find it as you scroll though the compiled websites, that of course include illustrations. These are for anyone who's interested in varying up their routine with their partner. So grab your partner and take a look through some basic sexually positions to the advanced sexual positions for the more daring. Sexual Positions:

Having a child was not without it's ups and downs. Getting pregnant itself wasn't without it's difficulties. Ten years of trying and I finally gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. There is not a minute that has gone by that I haven't loved being a mother. It used to be that when I saw someone who was pregnant it would make me want to cry, but now I get so excited for them. The miracle of being a mom. I realize everyday how truly blessed I am to have found someone to both share my life with and to raise a child with.
No moments wasted. Waking up one never expects to hear a loved one has died. Never did I ever think, it's my turn. You see, I'm not all that old, just in my thirties. Too young are the ones around me to die. I remember sitting in this very chair that I am sitting in even now to write this, when I got the news. A dear friend, one of the my best, called to say her soulmate was gone, ripped from this world suddenly. What does one say to something like that? What is there to say? Love and comfort, helplessness and grief, pain and sorrow- an emotional roller coaster. Offering what support I could, I wait to see what is next. Waiting for the shock to set in and the reality of the situation to take hold, I simply wait. During the night I found myself restless, checking on both my toddler and my husband- just because I needed to know that they were there and safe, alive and breathing. I told myself that I was going to tell them everyday that I love them and how much they mean to me. The following day, I turned on the radio to hear Meagan Trainor singing "I'm going to love you- like I'm going to lose you". I couldn't help thinking about how this summed up my current state of mind. I wanted to take the time to tell you- my readers, my family, my friends that I am so thankful for each and everyone of you. I am who I am because of the people around me and in my life. I promised myself to never take my loved ones for granted. Hold onto the ones you love, you never know when they'll be taken from you! Lastly , I wanted to write a special tribute to my friend and her lost soulmate. I wanted to tell you about the man she lost. Although I wasn't as close to him, I knew he was full of life and love. Whenever he came near her, her eyes would light up with a look that only he could produce from her. Her husband enjoyed the small moments in life, from gaming to LARPing with the Atlanta Interactive Theater (AIT). Adventure and fantasy, his mind was always thinking. He was also caring and loving, putting her first, as well as helping her take care of her family. If ever she needed him, he was there. Love and support. Never did I hear her mention a bad word about him. It was truly a match full of love! My favorite memory: two pounds of bacon… all in the oven at the same time to ease his heart and keep him company while she was away on a retreat. Nothing he did was halfway! He will missed. |

I am an inspired soul who loves to write and take photographs. I read and write constantly and have been inspired by many people throughout my life. I grew up reading everything I could get my hands on but my favorites were always R.L. Stine and L.J. Smith (prior to the Vampire Diaries). I have composed many things through the past several years and would like to use this blog as a way to share some of them with you (both new and old writings). I would love feedback both positive and negative to help me improve my writing. Thank you for following this blog. Archives
